There was that one section after he raped Althea suggesting that Bolt could have exacerbated Kennit’s feelings from his own rape by Igrot and pushed him over the edge to do what was done to him. The Others’s prophecy did come true in the end, even if it was for a few moments. ![]() I am glad that Kennit got what he deserved in the end by dying. Similarly, Wintrow’s development changed him drastically for the better, I believe. Seeing her grow up due to what happened to her was a great character development. I have read that others did not like Malta in the beginning. Malta’s metamorphosis from a spoiled child to a mature young adult was a bit of a surprise, albeit, a welcome one. I’m going to have a paragraph for some characters that I wanted to discuss below. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Mad Ship was enjoyable, while the Ship of Destiny was a lot better. The overall plot’s pace did increasingly progress within each book. I was not sure if I would really like the other two books The Mad Ship and Ship of Destiny, since I found the first book to be pretty slow.
